How to Buy Pet Food

"Hello my name is Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg from Miami Dog Training. In this clip we're going to talk about how to buy pet food. Well first thing you want to know about buying pet food is, is it the right type for your dog, puppy, or senior dog. With pet foods usually the cheaper ingredients are not as good for the dog, they tend to have more health problems throughout their life. So starting them off on a good healthy, nutritional food, that doesn't have a lot of fillers is important. And you know the ingredients are also listed by what is highest in the food. So if chicken's first, chicken's got the highest amount of ingredient in that product. So you do want to look for no fillers, and no artificial flavors, or dyes. And one of the things about feeding them too, is that it's really good to give them a metal bowl. A lot of times the plastic bowls can cause irritations to their mouth, and it's a good thing to just get them on a metal bowl. This is Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg, and this has been how to buy pet food."
