"Hi, I'm James, with JNC Home Repair. Today I'm going to show you how to choose a counter top. Basically when you're choosing a counter top it's really going to reflect the kind of style that you prefer, something that's going to match your finishes in your kitchen. Maybe you haven't refinished your kitchen yet and you can just choose your counter top and then choose your finishes afterwards. Most people, though, that are doing any kind of remodel, they're already going to have in mind what kind of look they're looking for, so basically you just want to choose from that. There's basically two kinds, they have the type of counter top that already has the back splash attached, these are more of a newer model type counter top. You can have one basically just like this one, this is a laminate counter top. It actually has a stone type finish to it, it actually looks like stone, it's even rough, it's even got little holes in it like stone does. Looking at it, it would look like a piece of stone but it's actually just laminate. It's got the back splash installed already as well, so you don't have to worry about installing a back splash after the fact that you've already installed the counter tops. This is just some things to consider when you're choosing counter tops."
