"Hi, I'm James, with JNC Home Repair. Today I'm going to show you how to buy a router. Today what I've got here is I've got a fixed-base router. This is the most common router there is, and this is probably the model that you want to use if you're just like a do-it-yourselfer. And they're pretty simple to use, you don't really need a router extension table or anything to use it. You can just, whatever board you're trying to rout, you can just usually clamp it to a worktable and actually be able to rout with it. You won't need any special, any kind of attachments. You will need the different router bits depending on what kind of application you're trying to do. Usually on the router bits it will show you a little diagram of what you're trying to achieve, what kind of look you're trying to achieve, and you just base your bits on that. They come in little sets so you can give you a little variety. But there's not a whole lot to it, if you're more into like a professional use they have some, a little bit more heavy duty models that you might want to consider, but if you're just using it for like do-it-yourself type things, this is probably the model you want to use. It's a good name brand, and it's not going to bog out on you, and it will work real well."
