"Hi, my name is Steve Anthony, I'm a musician, actor, singer based out of New York and Miami. In this clip we're going to talk about, how to select an electric guitar. Now, the guitar that I'm holding now is a, Fender Telecaster, this is a classic design. And it's been around, this shape of guitar has been around (pardon the graphics) it's been around since the 50's. And it's very popular among country players, and certain types of rock-n-roll players, it's got a certain twangy sound to it, that lends itself well to country, blues. The key to selecting a guitar for your purposes is, how it feels, and how it sounds to you. Fender makes great guitars, Gibson makes great guitars, those are the two most common electric guitars that you're going to see out there. But don't let a brand name dictate how you select your guitar. You play it, you hear how it sounds, you feel how it feels, and if it speaks to you, then it's the right guitar for you. So just go out there, and get the best guitar you can, for the budget that you have, and don't worry so much about brand names, just have a good time. I'm Steve Anthony, and this has been, how to select an electric guitar."
