"Hi, I'm Steve Anthony. I'm a musician, actor, singer based out of New York and Miami. In this clip we're going to talk about how to tune a guitar to a dropped C tuning. The easiest way to tune a guitar to dropped C tuning is to start by dropping your low E string to a D. Now all you have to do there is pluck the D string which is the third string from the top, and then re-tune the bottom string so that it matches that an octave lower. Now just like that, we're talking about dropped D tuning but since we're talking about dropped C tuning, what we're going to do now is re-tune the guitar in fifths using the D string as a reference. So taking your D string at the fifth fret, re-tune the A string. Same thing on the next string, and so on. So you're basically tuning your guitar as you would normally except instead of your bottom string being in E it's now a D. Now you've got, you've got a, you've got a tuning which is a D tuning. Now you're going to drop that D string down a step. So instead of being a D it's going to be a C. Now you have a dropped C tuning. The notes are instead of E, A, D, G, B, E, now they are C, G, C, F, A, D. My name is Steve Anthony and that is how to tune a guitar to dropped C."
