"This is Tim McKeig of the UNCW Seahawks and today we are going to tell you how to customize your ice hockey stick. First and foremost you are going to want to visit your local pro shop or sports retail store. Go in, pick out a stick, and some of the things you are going to want to consider while customizing it, could be your height or length of the stick. If you are a shorter player you can actually cut the stick down to enable you to have a shorter shaft. If you are a taller player you may want to leave it a little bit longer for you. Also if you are right handed you are going to want to get a right handed stick, of course, vice versa if you are left handed, a left handed stick. Now curves come in many different shapes and patterns, right and left handed. Some are more curved as you can see here while others are a little bit flatter. It is really based on your personal preference. Also you can just purchase a shaft rather than a whole stick to add for a little bit more customization. You can add these blades right into the end of the shaft that will allow you to have optimal customization for your stick. The end product of your stick may look something like this. As you can see the top of the stick has been taped for grip. Also the blade has been taped as well for a grip on the puck and those are some of the things you may want to take into consideration while customizing your ice hockey stick."
