"So, it's back to school time, and it's time to buy school supplies. It could be stressful, but it doesn't have to be. Hey, I'm Debbie Noah, and I'm here to give you some tips on how not to lose your mind, when buying school supplies. First of all, there's lots of opportunities to buy school supplies. One of the best ways, is to look at your school district's website. They'll have each grade level listed, of everything your child needs. Another way, your school office will have a list for you. A lot of times you get it at then end of the year, with registration packets, or at the beginning of the year, when you register your child. The local stores usually have area school district's lists, but my personal favorite, as a mom and as a teacher, is to, hopefully your school will have an opportunity to buy prepackaged school supplies. This is one of the best ways to save yourself some stress, and actually does save yourself some money, in the long run. By the time you've run around town, used some gas, gone to ten stores to find that certain kind of writing tablet, when it's right here for you. It really does save some time. Each grade level is very specific, in what is required, and in each packet, kindergarten has it's own supplies. First, second, third, all the way to sixth grade, usually. Now, when you get to junior high and high school, things are going to change. The school supply requirement is different, and a lot of times when they start changing classes in junior high and high school. You might as well just wait until they meet their class, because each teacher has specific things they want, and it will just save you some running around. Backpacks are important, all the way from kindergarten to college. Of course, they're going to get a little bigger, as they get a little older, but very important, so remember, check with your school district, on if they offer the prepackaged variety, or otherwise, but it's very important your child comes to school prepared, with everything they need. An organized kid, a prepared kid is going to be a great student. I'm Debbie Noah, and those are some tips on how to buy school supplies."
