"Hi, my name is Lauren, with Makeup by Dodge, and today we will be talking about how to apply blush. Now, there are a couple of different kinds of blush. You have your powder blush, which is really good to put on, after you've powdered. Don't put it on directly on your foundation, if you haven't powdered yet, because it will appear very blotchy, and very uneven, and not very natural, and it will kind of age your skin, actually a little bit. If you haven't put your powder on, you can still use something which is a cream blush, which you just blend directly into your foundation, and then you can powder over that, if you like. You can also use it on top of powder, but you might as well just use a cream on cream, and powder on powder. Today, we're going to do powder blush, because we've already contoured her face. We've done her eyes, and so now we're kind of looking at the eyes, and we're thinking, how much attention do we want to bring to the cheeks? Blush is meant to make you look more excited, more youthful. I'm going to have to tell you a secret. Men find blush attractive, because they think when they look at women who are flushed, they think, hey, she's excited because I just walked into the room. I'm not going to lie, so to make you look more excited, but in a very sophisticated kind of way. You have the choice of doing it on the apples of your cheeks. If that's so, it will make you just look a little flushed, to look a little bit more sophisticated, a little classier. Bring it from the very corner of your cheekbone, and drag it down this way, and then drop it a little bit, and then blend, blend, blend it into your skin. You could put a little blush above the eye, right here, so it doesn't look like you just put on blush, because the 80's kind of passed. You've put on a little tip of your nose, right here, and if you haven't put any eye makeup on, putting a little blush just on the very brow of your eye area, will tie it all in together, because you want it to look like it's your skin, and your skin isn't just one color with a little pink. It's pink all over the place."
