"Hi, my name is Lauren, with Makeup by Dodge, and today, we will be discussing how to apply your foundation. Now, there are several ways to go about this. If you're using a tinted moisturizer, which doesn't have as much coverage. It's a little bit more sheer. You'll just want to put it all over your face, just to balance out your complexion. As a professional makeup artist, when I do makeup for my clients, I usually like to use around two to three different shades on the face, so right here I have her middle shade, a darker shade, and a much lighter shade. The middle shade you can put on more around the face, just kind of an all around coverage, very lightly. The lighter shade, you'll want to put on highlight areas, where the light naturally hits you, which, when you put highlight areas on your face, it will bring them out more, to the eye. The darker shade is to hide some things that you don't want the eye to see, to make them recess a little bit. If you want to give a little definition to your cheeks, or if you want to change the shape of your face, you'll use the dark contour, around the face, to give it that illusion."
