Video Transcript

"Hi, my name is Lauren with Makeup by Dodge. Today, we will be discussing how to completely get rid of dark circles under your eyes. First thing to remember is you're always going to want to have a facial primer. The facial primer will fill in any fine lines and smooth out the texture of your skin so that any concealer or foundation that you put on your skin will look smooth and natural. The first thing after doing the primer is you're also going to want to choose a concealer that is one or two shades lighter than your normal skin color or the color of your foundation and also please try to remember that a concealer should be more of a yellow tone rather than a red tone. Yellow tones will cancel out any of the blue or purple that's under your eye if you look at a regular color wheel, the yellow is directly across the blue so the colors cancel each other out. When you start putting your concealer on which is always good to do before your foundation, people kind of choose their own way to go but I personally like to do it that way. If you start directly under the color that is discolored on your face and you move your way up and then blend out, you no longer have those dark circles under your eyes and then after that, you can put on your foundation and you're good to go."
