"Hi I'm Charles with ATX audio/video. Most people ask how to buy a state of the art sound system. This would really depend on what your term of state of the art is. It could either be multi channel which could be five point one or seven point one surround or the latest two channel high definition audio. In purchasing a state of the art sound system you should look carefully at the components, the receiver. The receiver will be the main hub for all sources going in and eventually out to the speakers. Theirs different configurations out there. There is the all in one receiver which has the processor and amplifier built in. There's also components systems that has an outboard processor and an outboard amplifier which gives you the ultimate in sound quality. Having the amplifier outboard allows it to run more power without effecting the DSP processing and the natural control processing. In speakers there's many things to look for. Is it a two way design which would indicate a wolfer for the lows, a tweeter for the highs. A three way design, a wolfer for the lows, a midrange for the mids, and a tweeters for the highs. There's many brands of high end audio equipment out there."
