"Hi, I'm James with JNC Home Repair, today I'm going to show you how to troubleshoot common mold problems in your house. First common problem that you find, you may see mold on your walls or maybe on your ceiling in your house. The number one areas that you're going to find this problem is either in bathrooms, kitchens or around your AC vents coming out of the ceiling. The reason for this is, it's going to be anywhere where there's moisture and not proper ventilation. If you have a bathroom that has mold on the walls, it's usually because you don't have an exhaust fan or you're keeping the bathroom door closed, it's going to be one of those common problems. The problem we're looking at here today is actually an AC vent because you can see here there's been some condensation problems, as far as the air. The cold air is blowing out of the vent and then there's hot air in the house and, just like anything else that condensates when hot meets cold, and what happens is the condensation builds up, here on the vent, and it actually starts creating mold after time and it starts spreading on the walls and starts spreading on the vent and it'll work its way up, even up into the AC vent as well. There's a real simple solution for this, just some common household bleach and water. You spray it on there, wipe it off and that'll fix your problem right away."
