"Hi, I'm James with JNC Home Repair, today I'm going to show you how to troubleshoot your water heater. First thing you want to remember about troubleshooting a water heater, the most common problem is it's just as simple as the pilot light. Maybe the pilot light has burned out or it's blown out for some reason and you're not getting any hot water somewhere in the house. That's the basic problem that you could do to troubleshoot it. As far as making any other kind of repairs or any kind of work to be performed on a water heater, I would really recommend you just contact a professional. This thing is capable of having water at a hundred and twenty five degrees. It can be dangerous and I wouldn't recommend messing with anything on the water heater. It's pretty self explanatory, it's messing with the pilot light, there's an instruction sheet on your particular model, some of them vary from model to model all you need to do is just look at your instruction page, it's a sticker that's stuck right above where the pilot burner is and if you just follow those instructions, it'll actually show you how to light your pilot light."
