"Let's discuss how to tell if your dog has an obesity problem. Obesity is a very common problem in dogs, especially as they get older, and that can lead to more problems such as back and joint issues. The easiest way to tell is to feel over the ribs. On both sides, you should be able to feel each rib ridge and if there's fat over top of those ribs, you're not going to be able to feel them. On fluffier dogs like this one, it's harder to tell If they have an obesity problem obviously. So feeling those ribs is ideal.
