"Here's another basic Comping move that can go with a variety of different rhythms. Again, it's just one of those walking moves that you kind of do while you're going towards the drummers waiting for them to play a break, and what you want to do is just, you're going to be picking up your right leg putting it down twice, and your left leg and putting it down twice. So this is the basic foot movement, as you're lifting your knee you want to kind of open up your hips on both of those knee lifts. So kind of see how my hips open up on this move and they go back in. Open, close, open, close, kind of follows your knee. Again, you don't want to put your feet down too hard, very lightly, very springy on your feet, and your arms, they're just going to follow the same way, and your eyes can follow where your hand goes. Up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down,up,down, you can put a little twist in there with your hands. Basically you're watching your palms, very lightly, everything is very light, your opposite arm just kind of falls back behind you. I think of this as kind of a fruit picking move. So just try that a few times, again and again, and again, like I said, that can be danced with a variety of different rhythms."
