"Hi, I can guarantee that during your whole planning process you'll have a run in with one of your parents. This is Kathie Millen and Vivian Miller with Austin Wedding Planners and Elite Events, and we're here to talk about how to keep your parents happy. Very important, your parents are paying for the majority of your wedding and you are contributing too. But, this is probably the first thing that you'll really, really, truly do on your own, and in your parents eyes, you're their baby girl. And they want to protect you and it's probably the last, most important thing they do for you, before you become somebody else's wife, and you're not their baby girl any more. And they do want it to be perfect for you, they really do, they do, and sometimes they might come across, you know, a little tough on you and you feel like, maybe, they don't understand about what you're going through, but they do, but it's important for them to have, for you to have a perfect wedding, So, try to listen to what they have to say, and if there's a point where you all can't agree on things, hit a middle road, that's the best advise I've seen, hit a middle road. Sit down and talk to them both, you know, and if it gets to a point where you feel like it's going wrong, or you feel like you're stressed out because, you know, some suggestions some other family members are doing and it's not what you truly want, sit down, you, your fiance, and your parents, and talk to them about what you truly, truly, want because, I think what you'll find out is that they want the same thing but you're going about it in two different ways. And what's really good about that is, if you do have a wedding coordinator, they really do act as a buffer, a lot of time, between that. And sometimes you need to take a step back, if you're feeling overwhelmed take a step back from the planning for a week, two weeks, don't, even a couple of days will help, you know, when you start to feel overwhelmed like that it's very important to put all the books, everything aside, ah, don't think about it, don't talk about it, do something fun and, and do something fun with your Mom, and it's not wedding related. It'll make a big difference. just something that makes you all special in your relationship, or your Dad, or whatever family member. But, remember the most important thing is it's about you, and your Fiance, and your wedding together. And their going to be married and spend the rest of your lives with someone you love. This is Kathie Millen and Vivian Miller"
