on 2/19/2009 I Recently changed my strings for the first time and I accidentally wound my strings Clockwise instead of Counter-Clockwise. Will this affect the sound? Should I try to rewind them the proper way?

"Hi, my name's Floyd, I am talking to you today from theacousticmusician.com in Sandy, Utah, and we're here to talk today about changing an electric guitar string. First thing you need to do is take the old string off, I'm changing the high E on this particular instrument. This is called a string winder, makes things a little bit faster to pull things off. Usually once I loosen it up and take the tension off, I'll get a nice sharp pair of cutters, we'll just get rid of that guy right there, and then it comes out of the end right here, just pull it out. Then you get the new string, okay, you'll feed it through the hole here on the stoptail piece they call that. Bring it in. I usually kind of line the hole up right here with the nut, I mean, different people have different ways of doing things, what I do is I pull it, I leave about this much slack. Then I take that, take the string, I go down underneath the other string and I take it, and lock it like that. Then I put, take tension on it like this, and you always want to wind the string so it goes up and curls out, if the tuning keys are on this side it would come up and go this way. Kind of like a plant growing. And usually what I do is I'll have one loop under and one loop over. Just run it. You need at least, at least three wraps around the post, do that, once it's good and snug you clip it off and tune it to pitch."
