Main thing with young soccer players, you want to keep the positions flexible maybe you know assigning a central defender, a central attacker and the rest is almost you know free to go wherever. That way you know once they kind of get the feel for it, you can focus more on specific positions. Always allow somebody wanting to be a goalie you know throw them in there and let them do that if a game like situations if no body really wanting to be the goalie. Do rotations. Rotate them in and out things like that. With young kids just starting out, you know start the game smaller you know four sided games that's going to you know. You also want to spread it out. Spread the field out but depending on ability and things like that maybe narrowing the field so you know passing is more manageable. You know older kids is more skilled athletes and then you can spread it out and encourage passing games. That's always something very good but you want to you know just let them figure it out for themselves almost you know. Encourage why it's important to pass you know why is it important to stay spread out things like that but always keep positions flexible."
