"Hi, my name's Jill Weiss and I'm going to give you a few tips on how to succeed at a Soccer Tryouts. Most importance, most important thing, is to have your athletes, child, be on time. Be early if you have to. You know, that's the first thing that a coach is going to notice. If you're late, you know, that might be the A or B of making a team, so just be on time. Second, have your athlete look the part. If you, you know, girls wear you're hair back. A ponytail, no jewelry, you know, be ready to go. Cleats on, socks on, shin guards, all of the above. You know, because again, if you don't look the part no coach is going to take you seriously. Three, have your child, have your athlete come well fed. You know, you don't want thirty, forty-five minutes into tryouts you don't want them running out of fuel because you forgot to feed them in the morning. Also, make sure that they go to the bathroom before tryouts actually starts. Because, I mean, tryouts is a big day. Not only for the parents, but also for the child, the athletes. Those nerves, and everybody's kind of nervous and excited, you know, hear rate's pumping, so make sure you stop by the bathroom before the tryouts actually starts. Also, last, parents you can watch tryouts but try and stay away. You know, in the stands, no talking to your child or athlete during the tryouts. For the person that is evaluating the tryouts, you know, the person with the clipboard. Parents, again, you don't want to go stand next to them, bugging them, asking them questions, because that could interfere on how their going to evaluate your child or your athlete. So, just stay clear of all that. Even before and even after the tryouts. Just, unless you have specific questions, just stay clear of the evaluators. So, those are some good tips on how to succeed at a Soccer tryout."
