"Hi, my name is Jill Weiss, and I'm going to give you a few tips on how to care for your soccer cleats. First things first is, as soon as you pick out that pair of cleats for your athletes, you want to mold the cleats to their foot. So have them put their shin guards, their socks, their cleats on, tie them on. And you're actually going to have them soak in water, just have them sit there for 20, 30 minutes, and get them good and wet. And then after, you're going to have them take the shoes off and just let them sit over night, and let them dry. That's going to allow the cleat to mold to the shape of the foot, which is going to comfort for the athlete, which is the most important thing. Next you want to, if there's any type of mud or rocks or dirt in the cleats, you want to clean it off immediately, after a competition, after games, that's the main thing, is you can just hit them against each other and get the dirt off, or hit them against the grounds, take it, a stick, and just get all the dirt, excess grass or anything stuck to the cleats, to clean. You can also polish, taking shoe polish, and polish the shoe. You want to do this on a regular basis, I mean after practice, after competitions. This is going to make your cleats last longer, and ultimately it's going to make it last longer for the athletes, and you want your shoes in good condition. So those are some basic- Also, you also definitely do not want to throw your shoes in the washer and dryer, you want to, any type of washing, things like that, drying, its all got to be hand washed, and just let it air dry, absolutely no throwing it into the washer or dryer. So those are just some tips on how to care for your cleats."
