"Hi my name is Otis St. Clair and today we're going to talk about how to get stronger for football. There are basically three core exercises you can do to build your strength and get stronger for football. So first we are gong to do the bench press, then we are going to do the squat and power cleans so come on follow me to the bench press. The first thing you need to do when you are doing the bench press is position yourself underneath this bar here, keep your back flat against the bench and what you are going to do is lift your bar off the rack, bring it down to your chest and back up. You should do that for about 3 sets, about 10 repetitions. That's the basic movement for bench press so now let's move over here to squats. Now when you are doing squats the basic thing is you are working your lower body, this is going to get your lower body stronger so that you can actually build a little bit of speed for yourself and some power in your legs. The basic technique for a squat is to make sure that your back is straight. The bar just needs to sit on your shoulders right here and just make it squat down, make sure that your thighs are parallel to the floor and that's a squat for you. The last exercise is power cleans. We'll move over here. The main goal for power cleans is to develop power and speed so what we are going to do is we are going to take the bar from the floor, rest it on our thighs and we are making a strong power movement up to our chest and repeat. Right there are the three basic exercises that you need for football, bench press, squats and power cleans."
