"Hi Bob Mathews with power one k body shaping program. Hi to build big calves. Well there's two types of people out there. There's the haves and the have nots. Ok so unfortunately with genetics being part of the calf area, you can see some people in the gym work them forever, and they just don't get them. But they may not be working them right. So if you are a have and you already have them you probably already know what to do or you are genetically get them. So all you need to do is follow some of these exercises I'll show you to shape them. If you are a have not, I would recommend doing this exercise everyday. I mean you are going to have to promote something if you are at twenty five years old lets say and you don't have calves, well then your normal development through sports and all the things you've done has not acquired, you have not acquired calves. You have to work way harder to get them. But calves have three different angles they go. You've got the straight away that most people are familiar with. You have toes touching and then you have the wide one. And most gyms have a calf machine either seated or with the ones you stand up and you get up under. I like those ones because the calf one that you seat, you have a thing that goes across your legs and for some reason it always just bother my knees. But I grew up on the standing calf raise and I think it's the best exercise. Now what I do is I take the three angles and I do one a day. Three times maybe twenty, thirty, forty reps. The trick with calves is going till it burns so much that you can't do anymore. Don't get caught so much on the weight. So if you feel like doing sets of forties or fifties because you are not in the mood to put heavy weight on your back. When you get that burn, you'll know. So just trust the burn. Ok so I will do these, three sets till I burn, the next day I come back I open them up, and then the next day I come back I close them. So I'm constantly rotating this and I'm one of the haves. I do have good calves, I've had calves since I've been born. But I still work them as if I didn't because there so so difficult to develop. So remember three different angles, every day. And you will have awesome calves. Good luck."
