"Hello, I'm John Reidling, and today I'm going to show you how to throw a curve ball. First of all, the important thing is having the grip on the curve ball. What you want to do is, you want to have, you want to put your finger on the seems, your middle finger on the seems, so you have something to throw against. You don't want to have it in between here, where your fingers will slip. And you want to put all your pressure on that finger, you want to pull down. And when you have the curve ball, you're going to pull down with that middle finger with a loose wrist, you don't want to keep a stiff wrist, you want to have it loose, okay. And mechanically, there's three components in mechanics that have to be sound, and that is, staying back, what I mean by staying back is you're going to need to come to a balance point, and don't rush. You're going to come to a balance point, and when your leg comes down, the ball has to come out of your glove, and to get that arm up, so that will get you a stay back. Second is staying closed. The good way to stay closed is, thinking about taking your knee to your chin, and that will keep you closed. Thirdly is your follow through. You want to think about taking your chest, and touching your knee, and that will get you to follow through. Now, right now, I'm going to show you how to throw a curve ball. I'm John Riedling, and that's how you throw a curve ball."
