"My name is Dave Erb from Dave's Ultimate Automotive in Austin, Texas and we're going to be talking about washer fluid or wiper fluid. It's the fluid that squirts on your windshield to help you clean your windshield. Most cars today will have an indicator on the dash when that fluid gets low and when it does show on the dash, or if you just feel like you need to check it, you come out open the hood. What you're looking for is a bottle with a, normally will have a lid on it or a picture with a picture of a windshield and water squirting on it. Some bottles will have a dip stick that pulls out, some just have a level marker on the side of the bottle. What you want to do is just look down the neck to see if it has any fluid in it, or down the side to see if it's close to the marker. You can use water if you would like, there are mixture concentrates that you can add to water that include an anti freeze solution or a no freezing solution so the bottle doesn't freeze up on you, and also has a little bit of soap in it as well. So, either is fine, water sometimes leave, you know it has little calcium deposits that can clog things up over time, so it's best to use the proper washer type fluid or washer concentrate. And that is washer fluid"
