"Hi I'm James with JNC Home Repair. Today I'm going to show you how to prepare your home for a winter storm. First thing you want to do in preparing your home for a winter storm is you actually want to go out around and seal up any kind of, where ever you've got hose bibs, any kind of water supplies, you want to go ahead and wrap your pipes. If you've got any exterior PVC lines or any kind of copper lines that are exposed, you want to go ahead and make sure you wrap those. And the other thing you might want to do is any kind of plants or shrubs, trees, anything that won't hold up to the weather very well, you want to go ahead and wrap those as well. You also want to keep in mind that a winter storm may be just temporary, depending on where you live. If you're preparing your home for the winter, you want to go ahead and make sure that you seal up everything. You make sure there's no little holes or cracks or anything where any kind of bugs or rodents can get inside your home. So basically what we're going to do is just prepare your home today for a winter storm."
