"Hi, I'm James, with JNC Home Repair. Today, we're going to show you how to maintain your windows, in your home. The first thing about maintaining windows, is you want to make sure that they're sealed up properly, around the edges. If there's any kind of trim around there, or weather stripping, the aluminum frame, wooden frame, depending on what type of window that you have. You want to make sure that it's sealed up, around the edges. You don't want any air flow leaking in, or leaking out, depending on what time of the year it is. It's always good for energy reasons to have your windows maintained properly. If you've had any kind of painting done recently, or in the past, you might notice on your windows that you have some over spray. Like this particular case, right here. There's a lot of over spray here on the windows. That's a good idea to get that stuff off. It's more of a cosmetic thing. It's not really a functional problem, but it's a way to maintain your window, and then of course, you want to keep it clean."
