"Coach Rudy here. Big Ten Alumni. Back with Eli. That was good on the blocking, buddy. All right, now let's talk about the other fundamental part of the game. How to tackle. Typically, your target will be moving. You have to prepare for a collision. You have to love it. You have to love collisions in order to be a good tackler. So, there's a couple techniques. One is the straight on tackle, where we bow our necks like we did with the drive, we bring our hips through the person, we wrap and we roll. All right, we wrap and we roll. That is a good fundamental tackle. Sometimes the guy might be a little bit bigger than us, so it's important that the center of gravity we use is our hips. We bring our hips forward into the guy, we run through the guy. We do not stop once we get to the guy. We run through the guy, we wrap the guy, we drive, and we roll. And we always hold on until we hear the whistle. Very important."
