"Another option at the end of making this hat is to put a crocheted trim, and what you would do is you'd start out by making your slip stitch, slipknot rather. The way we've been doing. But, instead of using the knitting needle, we're going to use the crochet hook. And, with the right side facing, you'd go into the end of your earflap, and you put that slip stitch, a slipknot on there, pull it tight, and bring that loop through the bottom of you earflap, put the yarn over the hook and bring it through. That's a, a slip stitch. So, now I've affixed that to the hat. Then, go onto the next edge stitch, put the yarn over. I've got two loops on the hook, yarn over again, and pull that through. Then I'd find the next edge stitch, and you can go into these loops if you want, or you can go right on the edge, and I'm going to go through, yarn over. I have two loops, yarn over the hook again, and bring it through. And, what this does is it gives a nice finished edge to the hat, and you can go around the whole hat this way, being careful not to make it too tight, so it doesn't pull the hat in too much, or too loose to make it too, it'll make it too flappy. We just go around into the stitches, and working that nice crocheted edge there to finish it off. You could see that was done on this one, but on a contrast color. And, this was just worked around the whole hat to give it a nice, finished edge."
