Circular Knitting: Switching to Stockinette

"So, here we have a knit to pearl to rim for the hat, rim for the hat, and that will make the hat elastic and hug the head. When you finished the amount of inches you want for the brim, you're going to switch to stocknet, which is knitting every row. So, here's my marker. I've started a new round, and basically you're going to go round and round, and you're going to knit all your stitches across. So, I'm going from the knit to pearl to, to just knitting. And, when I put these stitches back on the needle, I discover that I dropped a stitch, and that's another way to reinforce what we learned earlier. So, for this case, I'm just going to put my needle into the stitch that dropped. I'm going to capture it, and these ladders right back here, it went down three rows, serve as the, those are the rows basically, these connect all the stitches. So, I'm going to take that first ladder, the bottommost one, and I'm going to take the knit stitch that I captured, and I'm going to put it over leapfrog-like, kind of like we bound off, and put it over, so now I captured one. Then, I'm going to put it under the next ladder, pull it over. Now, I fixed the second. Then, I'm going to take that last ladder and pull that over. Now, I captured the third, and I'm going to put it back on my left hand needle, and then I'm just going to kind of wiggle it around a little bit to adjust the tension, and then we'll just go back to knit another round, and you'll keep knitting till you get to the desired length for the crown of the hat, which for a baby hat would be four to five inches."
