"After you're done working your sweater, it'll be time to block it. Blocking sets your stitches, it can ease your garment into its measurements, and overall it's one of the final finishing techniques. Most often you can do it with just the separate pieces. This garment allows for you to do it at the end. So, you're going to want to smooth your garment into shape, the way you desire it to be. Obviously the neckline would have been done, the button bands would have been done, and then you put a pressing cloth or something over it. You can sprinkle this with a little bit of water, or spray your garment with a little bit of water. You're going to set your iron to the appropriate fiber setting for the garment and if it works, for the garments fiber, you're going to want to put the steam setting, and you're going to run your iron evenly over your garment, and taking care to make sure you're pressing down the hem, and the cuffs, and your seams. And, you keep doing that until you get it into shape, you can pin it into shape if you feel the need, if it's buckling, but otherwise, you're just going to press it into shape. This will bring all of the stitches together and irregularities, and leave your garment looking beautiful."
