"I'm going to use a raglan baby sleeve sweater as an example. This sweater will take you through all the same steps that you'd need to do when you'd make an adult sweater. If you look at this sweater here it's partially done because we're going to run through some of the steps. And before knitting the pattern you'd want to look at all the main things to consider when starting. For example you'd want to look at what materials you'd need. This uses a bulky yarn. Any stitch holders or markers that you might need. And you'd want to consider the gage. This gets 3 1/2 stitches to the inch. It's a bulky yarn. And you'd want to familiarize yourself with any pattern stitches. For example this uses a knit one, pearl one ribbing. And then there's a striped stitch that goes along. So you'd have to be familiar with alternating between colors as you go and carrying the yarns along as you go. And then of course there'll be seaming along here. Picking up for the neck and picking up for the button band and button hole band. And after that you would weave in all your ends and block it."
