"Another thing that can happen is if you drop a stitch, you are knitting along and you see that you have got a stitch that has fallen off the needle. What you want to do is put the right hand needle into that loop that had fallen, take that ladder which is really the unknit stitch, put it on the needle and then with your left hand needle, pull that loop over and then put it back on to your left hand needle and that is how you fix a dropped stitch. Then if you happen to have a couple of stitches that have fallen like this you are going to have to go to a crochet hook to fix it. Then what you are going to want to do is catch that loop in the hook and you're going to pull that ladder through from behind and bring it up through the loop. But now I have another one and for this one I have to put it in front so I'm going to put my hook in, grab that loop and now I've caught that running stitch, put it back on my left hand needle, and I'm ready to knit across and keep going. Then sometimes you will run into an unknit stitch where someone will wrap the yarn and move the stitch over and they haven't knitted so if you come across that you are going to just put the stitch back, put the yarn down and reknit the stitch."
