"So now I want to tell you that there are a lot of different types of needles and a lot of different sizes of needles. And I've been knitting for more years than I'm going to share but needles have changed a lot since when I was a kid and I learned to knit. When I learned to knit the only knitting needles that were available were these aluminum needles. That was it. And if there were circular needles they were metal but not this. This is a more updated version. Not this nice metal. Kind of metal that ran the same grade as this and it was really slippery and it wasn't a lot of fun. Now needles have progressed on. There's acrylic needles like this and there are plastic needles like these. And bamboo needles. And the other thing is these needles all come in different sizes that create different effects. They work with different weight yarn. So you've got needles as thin as 1. They even come in zero or triple zero or double zero. And your needles go all the way up to 50. Which kind of looks like a tree limb. And all these you don't need in the beginning when you're starting but ultimately you're going to end up with a collection of all different sizes of needles that work with all different sizes of yarns or projects."
