"Crocheted flowers make a wonderful adornment for garments or they can be crocheted together to make a scarf or a belt in there own right. This flower is called a hibiscus and to make that flower for starters I've chained 8. And then I'm going to make a slip stitch in the last; in the first stitch that I chained and close that. And then I'm going to chain, I'm going to single crochet 12 stitches in the ring to make that center piece right there. And then when you get to the end of that you're going to do a slip stitch to connect that in the round. You can slide those down if they start to get tight. So now I've got my 12 and I'm going to do a slip stitch to the first stitch I made. And now I got my center ring made. Now I'm going to chain 5 which is eventually my turning chain that I'm not turning, I'm going in the round. So that's 3 4 5 and then I'm going to skip the next single crochet, and I'm going to crochet in the following one. Then I'm going to chain 4 and I'm going to skip the next one, single crochet after that and I'm making the beginnings of the petals."
