"One common mistake to make while crocheting is to not crochet the last stitch in your row. You get to the end and you think you're done and you turn your work. So, for example here, I might think I was done and I would turn it, but you can see that I've cut down on my stitches already and I would go back. And another thing to do, would be not to crochet the first stitch, but skip a stitch. And what happens is it will begin to reduce my number of stitches and change how it looks. Crochet is very forgiving though, I can just take out my stitches, come back to where I was over here, put the yarn back on the hook, and finish that last stitch that I had neglected in the row before. And another thing you can see is that I've got a straight line, here, as whereas before when I didn't finish that last stitch I had a bit of a step."
