"It is possible to fix a mistake in cable without ripping all your stitches back to that point. It can be a little bit tricky, but it can be done. Say I made a mistake in this cable twist here. I would take those four stitches that are involved in my cable, and I would pull the yarn out of those stitches. And each of those strands represents the yarn it took to knit those stitches. And then when I get back to the cable twist, I'm going to put those stitches back on the needle and re-work the cable from here. So there are my four stitches. And I'm going to take my cable needle and just like before I'm going to slip those cables, those two stitches, onto the cable needle and hold in front. Then I'm going to get another needle, and using the strand behind the needle I'm going to use the bottom most strand which is this one. I'm going to knit with that strand and work the cable from there."
