"While your cat is in its own room, getting used to your environment. It's very important that you maintain normal social interaction, with this cat, so you want to come in every day, and give your cat some treats, some nice petting, and make sure that it gets used to the way you smell. Any other household members should also come in for five to ten minutes, and interact with the cat, the way they would normally interact with all the other cats. You may want to bring special toys in, such as a little catnip square, like this, so that your cat, your new cat, equates having you come in the room, with special treats, and fun times. You also may want to bring in just something little, like a little jingle ball, or something like that, that you can play with ,with the kitty, so that you and the cat start to develop a normal, playful social relationship with each other, separate from that of the other cats. This will help your new cat to feel secure, in its place, in your household."
