Video Transcript

"Today I'm going to go over some basic editing within the pro-tools HD. I have an HD system which requires accel cards, which go inside the computer, and these let you run the program from the cards, instead of using the actual CPU power. What I'm going to be going over today is just some basic editing as far as like grabbing, and editing different regions and wave forms, so you can grab them quicker and things like that. I'm going to show you how to use different types of spot tools and trim tools, somehow to like- there's different ways of grabbing tracks, and setting them align to the grid. So right now I'm going to try to show you how to move them all around so you can get them in the right position. I'm also going to show you how to use the plug-in automation, and how to view the plug-in automation, and how to draw it in. When you do the plug-in automations it's going to be- you're going to have to be able to view it, and that way you can take certain plug-ins like compressors and reverb and kind of automate the way it's used and how much it's used each time."
