"So our next pattern is going to involve playing eighth notes on the high hat or opening the high hat up on the hands so just playing eighth notes it sounds like this. What we are going to do is this with the high hat foot is coming up on the hands and coming down on the main beats. What you don't want to do is flam when you close or you want to strike the high hat with the stick at the same time it closes and it sounds like this. So another option for this is just to play the ends and just close with the foot. Try both of them and make sure no flamming on the closing."
