Video Transcript

"Parivrtta Janu Sirsasana, or revolving head to knee ultimate seated side bend, I think. Always same hand to foot to begin with. Reaching towards the foot, twisting, turning, elongating. Most everyone is familiar with how to get the hand to the foot, and maybe, how to get the other arm up, but we want to take this further, cause' we really want to turn; maybe even place the back of the head on that leg, so there are a lot of different little tricks you can take. One of them is to reach for the inside of the foot, the other arm outside of the foot. But from here, I take this hand down and watch; put it forward, get it out. Get the shoulder in front of the knee. Get the shoulder a little lower down in front of the knee. Also, I can take hold of this knee. That's going to help a great deal. Then the head comes on the leg, pulling gently with your arms for length. Get the breath going through. You can rock. Take care coming out. Take it slow, because you just gave a real extreme stretch to the leg and the back, so you push up and then of course the same on the other side."
