"Hi this Aaron Hale at Fitness for Life in Wilmington, North Carolina here to talk to you a little bit, answer the question, can you lose weight by walking on a treadmill? The answer to that is very simple, absolutely you can lose weight walking on a treadmill. However, it's really going to depend on the person. Walking is one of the most highly endured activity that we partake in on a day to day basis. So somebody that very, I would say lives a very active life style might not see the benefits of walking on the treadmill. Much like they probably would if they were to do some running and some interval work on a treadmill. Somebody that lives probably a more sedentary life style and is looking to get back in to good health and good shape, walking on the treadmill is the first place you want to start to lose weight and to get in to better health. Can you lose weight? Absolutely. The primary things, consistency, consistency, consistency. If you stay on a work out, you make sure that you walk every day, you do it for about 35 to 40 plus minutes a day, five to six days a week, you'll certainly start observing the benefits of walking on a treadmill. And then from there, we can begin to really start working on our overall health. This is Aaron Hale at Fitness for Life talking to you about losing weight on a treadmill."
