"Hi this is Aaron Hale at Fitness for Life here in Wilmington, North Carolina here to talk to you a little bit about how to lose weight using a treadmill. Well the first thing is walking is probably one of the most highly endured activities that we all partake in on a day to day basis so for walking on a treadmill we are really going to have to start extending the time. We're really looking at a minimum of 45 minutes a day probably at least five to six days a week to really see the benefits and lose that weight using a treadmill. Now besides just walking on a treadmill, we've got to look at the way we are walking on a treadmill. A lot of treadmills especially this day and time have a lot of different features to them that we can use to our benefit like incline. We can increase the elevation grade on a treadmill. It is going to get our heart rate up a little higher. It is going to help us to burn more fat and increase our lung capacity as well. Interval training - we can do walking intervals where we can keep the same pace but we just continue to change the elevation grade on the treadmill. If we do that and we stay consistent with it, five to six days a week, you really should see a lot of the calories, excuse me, a lot of the fat starting to burn off and we can really start seeing some of that weight come off of us. This has been Aaron Hale at Fitness for Life. Thank you very much."
