"Hi, this is Jeff from the Two Wheeler Dealer, and I'm going to talk to you about things to consider when shopping for a new road bike. First thing would be probably budget. You know, it's going to limit a lot of basically components and frame materials that are available on the bikes. Next thing would be probably frame material. For that I'd recommend going to your local bike shop and riding probably one of each of the four main frame materials that road bikes are made from. Being steel, aluminum, carbon fiber, and titanium. And then there's many variations within and mixtures of many of those materials. Really just to get a feel for how those different materials are going to respond and feel. And the second thing would be probably the componentry that's on the bike. Whether you're going to be just recreational riding or you plan on training for a race, or you're already an accomplished racer. You know, definitely that's going to determine how much you want to spend on your bike, and what level of components that you're going to get. And once you have determined which frame material and which components that you'd like on the bike, I'd definitely recommend having a professional fit done. It's going to make a huge difference between you begin comfortable on the bike and enjoying riding it, or being uncomfortable and just grueling along through those long rides, and not even wanting to ride. Those are some things to consider when you're shopping for a new road bike."
