"Hi, now we're going to do the leadive role in the side by side basic. Taking it specifically counts one through four in the basic eight count step. So it starts to look like this. Just to demo it. One, two, three, four. OK, so what I'm doing first is a rock step. Rocking back on my left foot, and replacing on the right. So there is a weight shift there. I'm going one, two. One, two. So just kind of putting my weight back to the ball of my foot, and then replacing my weight right back on to my right foot. From there, after one, two, my weight is on my right foot and I'm going to kick, and land on that left foot. So it is a traveling move. I've got my home base here, I'm going back for the rock step, and then landing forward. This is a very important part of Charleston, it does travel back and forward. So, together, it looks like this. Rock, step, kick, step. One more time, rock, step, kick, step. It's important when you do the kick step landing on that left foot that you commit your weight entirely to that left foot. Rock, step, kick, step. That's the one through four of the Charleston basic."
