"Hi, my name is Les Whitley. I'd like to talk to you about how to choose a personal trainer. When choosing a trainer there are several factors to keep in mind. One of which, is someone that you feel comfortable working around, because you're going to spend quite a bit of time with them, and they're going to have to know a lot about your body and how it operates, as well as your personal goals, so that someone, you've got to feel comfortable opening up to and discussing those goals with. The other thing is looking for credentials. To understand that, that person is a trained professional and can help prevent you from injury is key, when choosing a trainer. Their background and success rate is also important. The last thing you want is you spending time with someone that's not going to put you closer to achieving your goals. In choosing a trainer again, check credentials, certifications, level of education, and background because that demonstrates their level of commitment to their craft. They are a trained professional and they should have spent time and had experience in reaching their goals, as a trainer become very effective, and understanding how the body works, how they can help and work with your particular needs, to help you put you closer to your goals. That person's personality should click with yours as well. If you have a person that's overly motivating and you're not a person that needs a lot of extra motivation, there's going to be a clash there. You should have that person be someone that you feel again, comfortable with, but not necessarily that person that you would be best friends with, because again, you want someone that's going to push you, and help push you towards your goals, not someone that you go hangout with. There's a distinct difference, and sometimes that line gets a little muddied and grayed. You want to make sure that there's a distinct professional relationship. Not that you can't hangout with that person, but again, at the end of the day, they've got to motivate you, and push you towards doing things that you might not do on your own. Having the level of education, to help teach you new things and how you can put yourself closer to your goals, will make that trainer not only effective for their own personal gains, but to help you reach your goals, as well."
