"Hi I'm Les Whitley. I'd like to talk to you right now about how to get stronger abs faster. One way to do that is training your abdominal muscles as part of your core, as part of your overall functional routine using the abdominals and your core for stabilization through everything you do will maximize those results by the efforts that you put into it. Using additional resistance in those specific abdominal exercises such as the crunch or the sit up will help stimulate that muscle for faster growth. Also using the abdominal muscles in full functional total body exercises will stimulate growth as well. For example, the full body total body squat, you are using the abdominals to stabilize the mid line of the body. In doing a pull up, you are also using the abdominals to stabilize the body. Lifts like for example the Olympic lifts in the clean or the snatch also use the abdominal and core muscles to strengthen and stabilize the body to move it and propel it through space. The more athletic a move that requires more balance more stabilization the more the abdominals and core are engaged. So train them as part of the overall whole component of the body and not just the isolation. You can focus to develop a nice strong abdominal muscles but they should be part of an overall routine that targets the entire body. More functional body weight exercises that incorporate full range of motion and large muscle groups will use the abdominal muscles for stabilization and support. So train the body as a whole, with large muscle groups being prioritized, working your way to specific isolation as a last result. Remember the core and the abdominals are part of the overall whole of the body and should be trained as such."
