"Hi. Have you wondered how to recognize signs of toddler sexual abuse? Well, I am Dr. Felicia and I would like to share a few tips with you about this very serious problem. If you suspect that your child was sexually abused there are some warning signs that you might look for. One of course is a rash or consistent itching that your child might have which is not explainable by a diaper rash. Or anything reasonable. The other thing you might look at is if the child suddenly develops a fear of a particular person or s place. And won't go there. Which seems irrational because there was no fear before? The other thing that might be happen is the child might be fearful of a certain noise or object. Like for instance the toilet flushing is one of them. And also the child might tell you and act out sexually inappropriately. For instance they might have behaviors that are not age appropriate. So you look for those warning signs. But realize this that in all those warning signs can mean something else. So don't panic and don't jump to the wrong conclusion. But bring your child to a professional, medical person. That can do an evaluation. And do an assessment and see from there. It is important that you get it documented so do stand by your child to do that. And do not be alarming to the child. Just be calming and tell them you're going to speak to some body that is going to help them. I do wish you luck in looking for these warning signs.
