How to Choose a Godparent

"Hi, are you in the process of choosing your godparent for your child? What an awesome choice to make. Hi, I'm Dr. Felicia, and I'd like to share some tips with you, on how to choose the proper godparent. Now the first thing you want to do when you're choosing a godparent, and I'm sure you've already thought of this, is to look for your most concerning, nurturing family member or friend that's going to take the role of godparent. And remember, the role of godparent is for the parent to take over, in the event something happens to you. So you really want to choose somebody who has close family values tied to yours, you want to choose somebody who obviously shows interest in your child or children, if there's more than one. You also want to choose somebody who you know is stable and responsible, and will stick through with thick and thin of raising a child in this event that becomes necessary. Now for the most part, most of us never have to use that role of godparent, but what we do is keep that godparent in the family as a special person that will look over your child if necessary. Your child should be able to relate to that person at the same time. So observe who takes the most time and interest with your children, who shares your family values, and who it is that you feel will stick in there through thick and thin.
