"Hi, I'm Les Whitley. Today I'd like to talk to you a little bit about kind of a common misconception about getting rid or spot reducing in particular areas; in particular, the flabby outer thighs. When we talk about reducing body fat, or the flab that's on our body, it's very difficult to reduce from one particular area. For the area that you're emphasizing most, it typically means that there's more fat located there, and as you burn calories, that's the area that's going to go down the slowest, because there's just typically more there to burn. The flabby outer thighs, they're not going to go away by you specifically targeting on your legs. It comes from an overall comprehensive program where you're expending calories throughout your entire body. You're probably going to notice that your arms, your back, your tummy may even get leaner than your thighs, so therefore, you become frustrated and quit. Just because it takes a little longer to see those results, stick with it. Consistency is probably one of the biggest keys in maintaining an effective exercise routine. It's not for thirty days. It's not till you hit that goal; then stop. It's part of a lifelong routine that extends beyond you achieving that goal, but maintaining that goal for the rest of your life. Nutrition is also another key factor in helping you achieve those goals. Making sure that you're understanding the fuel that you put inside of your body should be that, fuel for a healthy body to help you achieve your goals. If you're reducing your flabby thighs, you've got to reduce the overall calorie intake, or increase your energy expenditure. Combining those two as part of a regular program will help you achieve your goals."
