"Whenever you begin your round, or whenever you're on a tee box of a hole on the golf course, you're going to have to decide which tee to use when teeing up a golf ball. You have short tees, medium tees, and long tees. My name's Jared Garbett, and I'm with Echo Farms Country Club, and today I'm going to teach you how to tee up a golf ball. When using your driver, you're going to want to use a medium or large tee, We're going to save the short tee for an iron. Since I have a large headed driver, I'm going to use a large tee. If your driver has a smaller head, you may want to use a medium sized tee. I'm going to take the tee, and place it between my index and middle finger, as seen here. Then I'm going to take the ball, and act like I'm going to tee it up--like I was teeing it up on the ground, place the ball on the head of the tee. I'm then going to insert the tee, using the ball as leverage into the ground. After getting it to its desired height, I can release the ball and it should stay on top of the tee. If it doesn't, try repeating it until it does. Now, I'm ready to approach my drive shot, take my swing, and tee it up. When on a par three, or using an iron on a tee, I'm going to use a shorter tee. This tee helps reduce the friction between the ground and my iron without teeing the ball too high up in the air. Again, I'm going to place the tee between my index and middle fingers, place the ball on the head of the tee, and using the ball as leverage, place the tee into the ground. Now that I have the ball teed up on the par three, or in whatever case I'm using my iron, I'm ready to hit the ball. And that is how you tee up a golf ball on the tee box."
